The Endgame calleth...

So, I hit 60 on Wednesday Night! Wooot!!! Time to get some of that endgame content that everyone's always yammering about.

Meef and Cowchan both hit 59 too, so won't be long for them either. Whatsay we try to get one of the high level dungeons done this weekend? BRD? Strat? Scholo? Meef, I've never done any of these all the way through, so can you give us some estimate of what kind of content we could do that would be fun and possibly loot-inducing?

I spoke to Cowchan, and he said that he might be able to do Saturday afternoon or late Sunday afternoon, I think. Both of these times work for me. Meef?

I know Alex is out of town, but maybe Zala will have his account restored by then. Otherwise we'll have to pug a healer ;_;.

Oh well, still should be fun. Respond with times that you guys can meet. I'm gonna suggest 2PM EST for Saturday (that's 11AM for you guys) or sometime your Sunday afternoon.

Poopa.

Looks like my Saturday is shot pretty much all day.

Depending on how long a BRD run takes, I can do early Sunday morning, or late Sunday afternoon. This weekend is pretty hectic for me, so I'm only free between 8am-10am, and 3:45-6:30pm pst on Sunday.

Erg. Sorry for the tight schedule. For the BBQ!

And I'm always up for other instances besides BRD too, especially those in the 2-hour range :D

BRD has modular content, so we basically could do 2 hours there, but we wouldn't be able to do a full clear...

J, how do the other instances look, time-wise?

well, in my experience, most clears of any dungeon can be done in 2 hours or less. However, this usually means taking a certain route and going straight for the end boss (although not for lack of time, but usually because ppl are just concerned about farming their tier 0 or end-boss items rather than doing quest stuff). Also, that's usually for an experienced group of 60s with at least some peeps who've been geared up decently...

uhh well, here's a little summary of each dungeon so you can get a little idea of how much there is to do for a clear...

lesseee... brd, you'd basically go straight towards the bar area. angerforge and the other little boss could be killed i guess, but obviously if you're on a clock... get to the bar, have what's her name open the door for a quick pass thru, then you'll be to the salamander guy. kill him, make your way through the war golem area and the 7 dwarves, and now you're at the lycaeum. ugh the lycaeum... we really really need aoe if we're gonna get thru there in one piece. anyhow, get thru that room, kill another boss, then you have to clear the final chamber with the emperor before the kill. easy! ^^;

scholo - again, ignoring quests and such, then you're route would first take you straight to rattlecage, then ras frostwhisper... then you have to kill 6 bosses before the final boss. each boss is in a room filled with different types of mobs. wipes here can really mess up a run due to respawn.

strat - human i short and sweet, especially if you skip cannonmaster wiley or whatever his name is... however he drops shadowcraft i think ;_; anyhow, this dungeon has a lot of packs of mobs. when you zone in, the first thing you're presented with is a pack of like 10 mobs (mixed elite & regular). that reminds me, when you zone in the front door... you CANNOT zone out. it's blocked. so take care, especially if you need to summon someone. but anyhow, hu strat is basically a straight shot to the final 2 bosses if you want. just tons of packs of undead on the streets, and once you get inside the scarlet headquarters, it's packs of about 3-4 elite humanoids. for speed, it's crucial for rogues and other cc to be on the ball and sap/trap/poly quickly and efficiently (of course, as quickly as healer mana will allow). there are also some patrols in here that can easily wipe a group, and later battle mages have a terrible aoe that are also wipetacular. but as i said, straight fight to the headquarters, no mandatory bosses until you get to the archivist and then the final boss. we can't really do undead strat (in a timely manner) until we get the key to the back gate. although if we wanted, that's prolly something we could do in 2 hours.

lbrs - i really don't have much experience here... for some reason it's the least popular end game dungeon. as such, we'd prolly need someone with a little experience if we wanted to get thru here in a timely manner ^^;

dm east - dm is really awesome. it's great. east is the easiest, and we may actually be able to do it without being uber (north and west are pretty brutal for fresh 60s). lesse there's a water elemental boss, some satyr, a mage bitch and a final satyr? something like that. there's also the key quest... again, could be close for a new group, but perhaps doable in 2 hours... ooo and there's a buncha rich thorium after the last boss ^_^

let me post something that's actually useful:

things we could do in 2 hours

brd: we could get me a chance at force of will, get to bar for turn ins, and do key quest

scholo: could do janice barov (optional boss) and rattlecage, work on getting the first two deeds for that quest

strat: could get (one) key to the city, do a couple quests (like getting some shit from burnt shop, collecting holy water from crates)

lbrs: dunno, kill some bosses? ^^;

dm east: work on key quest, then just clear as much as we can with remaining time

maybe i'm overestimating, but 2 hours seems like it'd be cutting it close (to kill to a final boss) until we have some experience under our belts... especially me, all my tanking experience has been when i was grossly overleveled for the instance ^^;

Uh, so what time are we looking to run stuff?

OK, so is 4PM PDT/7PM EDT a good time for an instance? We can decide what to do then. I'd want to do BRD or any of the Tier 0 locations.
