Holiday Weekend

So my plans to travel to exotic Maine to observe the habits of the Flying Panda fell through, so I may be a bum and just stay in New York this weekend. If so, I'll probably be playing a lot of WoW. Is anyone interested in doing an instance on Saturday morning and/or Monday as well?

Right now our progression is pointing to either Maraudon, or back to Jintha'Alor for Cowchan to get his trinket and for us to get that stupid egg. Mara would require a pugged healer, Jintha would not. I think that Dwight still needs to get his infernal, as well.

Who's available this weekend?

zomg bgs

so i went to AV last nite with my priest and man, what a difference. previous attempts had always failed due to a grand total of 0 games being up whenever i tried to get on (like midnight server time)... last nite thanks to the new patch... 28 AVs!!! it was great. wait times < 5 min for the 2 games i played and i scored almost 2k rep in < 2hours. (and i didn't even get to stay for the completion of the second game, that one had reached a stalemate and i had to drop to run human strat with my guildies).

good stuff... i need to get meef in there asap... i can feel the unstoppable force... it's too bad you can't join av as a group, cuz that'd be a great way to spend guild time if we could. we still can for other bgs thou, right?

Mucho Azul en el Desierto

Other than making the unfortunate choice of PUGging a troll healer in a purple dress who was visually identical to the mobs we were slaying, we had an excellent run through ZF. Dwight and I got blued up, and everyone finished all the quests except for the collection of Troll Juice, which really is just as well. It was also our first run with Cowchan back from his world tour, so that was also pretty cool.

See the full post for more pics.

Gojira was no match for us, and I am now using one of his fangs as my ambush weapon.

Chief Uzorz has like a 7% chance to drop Embrace of the Lycan, which is not only the best helm I can get prior to Stratholme, but it also makes me look like Fox McCloud! Rawr! Now I don't have to miss out on my lycanthropy when I'm not playing my druid. And alex can keep saying something about bdussbdbd. The only downside is you can no longer see my awesome mohawk, which is a little sad. Back to the topic of Starfox real quick though, if you haven't seen this penny-arcade strip, it really should not be missed.

Dwight actually got in the way when I was trying to get a screenshot of my cool helm, but I thought I'd include this. Among other things, Dwight was able to snag Zum'rah's Vexing Cane. We're all starting to look very menacing, which is good.

Zul'Farrak

Anyone up for Zul'Farrak this Saturday, same Bat-Time as normal? Now that I'm using ItemRack, I think I want to get that dagger off of Gahz'Rilla and train up Ambush.

Rick, if you're situated, you should come. Level 48 should be fine for the mobs in Zul'Farrak, and then we'll just have to PUG a healer.

Welcome new guildies!

I'd like to welcome Synbian (lvl 8 Tauren Druid), Bitrot (Orc Hunter) and Mojito (Druid). I've also created an alt -- AngelaMartin (undead priest).

I've already sent Mojito some mageweave bags ... I'll be sending some to Synbian shortly.

We'll soon be scheduling some low level grind sessions ... probably in the barrens ... I'll schedule it soon.

Edit: If someone sees Synbian online ... can you /ginvite him?

The Cow Has Returned...

...kinda.

So I'm finally back in the states and anxious to get back to the fleeting summer BBQ fun. I see many improvements have been made, and I will get back to the grind as soon as I find a)an apartment, b)internet access, and c)a job. Hopefully, this will take two weeks or so. Anyway, I just wanted to congratulate everyone on their hard work and I will do my best to join the ranks of the Korean BBQ once again.

For the BBQ!!!

PS - Australia was frickin' cool. No tips! And wombats (which are basically fulborgs!)

Progression

So looking at the items laid out on the BBQ planning page, it seems like the progression from here should be Hinterlands -> Zul'Farrak -> Maraudon -> Sunken Temple.

Also, the Hinterlands quests are not in an instance and may be a little less hardcore. Is everyone cool to do it this Saturday, same time as last week? I'll be 51 and alex will be 50, so it should be doable. I'll throw something in the gCal when i get home.

On another note, I finally created the custom Guild ranks Just let me know if you want to rename/change your rank.
